Note that when removing the z-index, there's a shadow that may appear on hover on MREC images (and the card itself)

To enable MREC:

  • Turn on devtools: browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.asrouter.devtoolsEnabled
  • Go to about:home#devtools
  • click on the toggle for "Toggle Allizom"
  • Then open the section for IAB Banner Ads toggle the Enable Medium Rectangle
  • Expected: You should see the MREC in place of the usual spoc.
