Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 I fired up Moz 1.3 for the first time today and noticed that the spash screen has had the Mozilla mascott removed and replaced with the more staid Mozilla logo. I realized that you'd love for everyone to use Mozilla on its technical and open source merits, however, I must convey that a large number of people that I have "converted" from IE have specifically said they like using Mozilla because they like seeing the mascot while it loads. These tend to be "newbie" users (think "mom"). In any case, there's probably no user base to be gained and possibly a small fraction to be lost by ditching the mascot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load the Browser 2. Watch your screen 3. Sigh with disappointment Actual Results: I rolled my eyes and logged onto Bugzilla. Expected Results: Not fix what ain't broken.
place you own splash as mozilla.bmp in the mozilla apllication folder. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 195577 ***
