In the new account hub of Thunderbird 140 I get the following error message after the second step:
can't access property "cleanup", this[#configVerifier] is undefined
After a short moment, the dialog gets stuck in a loading state from which it can no longer escape. Closing with the ESC key is possible, but not with the mouse.
Maybe it's relevant that I tried it to set up an account that is already set up. That may not make much sense and was more of a coincidence because I wanted to take a screenshot for an article. But still, this error probably shouldn't appear.
Further observation: it doesn't always happen. I tested it a total of seven times and it happened five times. In two cases, a correct error message appeared.
I used a @googlemail.com e-mail address to test. The operating system is macOS 15.5.

I think, duplicate of bug 1955500? Can you reproduce with 141beta or later?

Yeah that was the wrong bug pasted. Indeed maybe bug 1971303. Sören, how is v141 beta?

I have not installed the beta version and since I am currently on vacation and have little time to install and set up another Thunderbird, I did a quick check in my already installed Thunderbird Daily. I cannot reproduce it there. I guess it's fair to assume that it's a duplicate of bug bug 1971303.

VERIFIED DUPLICATE
Thanks for reporting this. It's good to know that people run into this in real life.
