Hey Tim, we found this article that already mentions ETP https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop#w_adjust-your-global-enhanced-tracking-protection-settings and were wondering if we should update it as opposed to creating a new article? Could you let us know?

We discussed this internally and decided that we should have a new article for ETP web compatibility exceptions.

We should also mention the ETP web compatibility exceptions in the existing ETP article and link to the new article.

Hey Tim, could you please review the drafts above and let us know if we're good to get these onto our staging environment?

Hello JC,

We have reviewed the drafts.

For the NEW KB: The content is good for Fx142. However, we will need to update the tier naming for Fx143, as we will be updating it. Does this sound okay?

For the updated article: the updated content doesn't explicitly mention Webcompat exception checkboxes. Could we add content around this and link to the new KB there? Thanks.

Hey Flavius! Could you please check Tim's recent request to add content to the updated article and help with this?

Flags: needinfo?(ffloare)

Hey Tim, regarding the updated tiers naming, we would need a Bugzilla ticket for that but it shouldn't be a problem. I've already put it on our content roadmap for 143.

Flavius will work on the updated article and tag you in when ready. Thanks!

Hi Tim, I tagged you in the document. Please review it when you have time. Thank you. Greatly appreciated!

I've reviewed the updated content, and it looks good. I think we are good to go. :)

The updated KB is here.

See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop/history - Updates, which include adding {for fx142} to the "Compat exception checkboxes" section, are pending. Flavius, can you review?

I see that Kiki approved the pending revisions; however, the {for fx142} content will still show for Firefox 141 and below until bug 1981027 is fixed. Flavius, can you do anything about fixing that bug ... or should the "Compat exception checkboxes" section be edited to mention that it applies to Firefox version 142 and above?

Yes, I have bumped into this issue when I tried to update the article under {for fx142} the other day. I'll make this a priority and try to have the {for fx142} ASAP.

Thank you, Alice!

Hello JC,

Do we have the SUMO id for the new KB?

Flags: needinfo?(jcuevas)

Dayani can you provide the slug for this article please? I think that is what Tim needs.

Sure, Flavius created the placeholder while I was OOO.
It is right here.
Placeholder link: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/manage-enhanced-tracking-protection-exceptions
slug: manage-enhanced-tracking-protection-exceptions

Flags: needinfo?(dgalindo)

In case it helps, there's also a Placeholder for Bug 1977341 article in the Administration category that was just created a couple of hours ago. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/placeholder-bug-1977341/history

I created that one thinking there was no placeholder. And then noticed Flavius created one but didn't added it here or in the Asana.

We will use the one created by Flavius to avoid confussion.

The KB article is now live.

I submitted a revision that's pending review, to update the existing Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop article to add a link in the WebCompat exception checkboxes section for fx142 and above, that goes to the new Manage Enhanced Tracking Protection exceptions article. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop/history
