Steps to reproduce:
1.Open Thunderbird.
2.Customise the toolbar and add View widget.
3.Click on View drop-down and choose Custom Views

Actual results:
Custom Views is empty.

Expected results:
Custom Views should displayed the following options:
- People I know
- Recent Mail
- Last 5 Days
- Not Junk
- Has Attachments

I tried to find a regression range on mozregression GUI and went as far as 2022 07/08 and it’s still reproducible.
I downloaded TB 92.0b1(20210909143032) and it’s still reproducible, the Custom Views options are not displayed.

Also checked on Win 10, Win 11 and Ubuntu 24 and it's not reproducible, the Custom View options are displayed.

Setting S3 since it's been a problem for a long time and it seems like we only just found out about it being broken.

That data comes from mailViews.dat. Perhaps there's some loading issue on macOS

Eleanor, do you see this on mac?

Hello!
I tested this issue again on macOS Tahoe 26.7 and also macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 on TB 156.0.1, TB 153.3.1 and also TB 158.0b1 and it’s still reproducible.
I have tried on a fresh profile as well as an using an old profile and Custom View option are not displayed(check screenshot attached)
