Steps to reproduce:

Added deskop shortcut custom image URL's.

Actual results:

Shortcuts with the custom image icons show up as grey.

Expected results:

Shortcuts with custom image icons should display the image given by the URL.

Steps to reproduce:
I can confirm this bug. It only occurs with custom graphics in the tiles on New Tab Page. If I clear the cache in the settings, the affected graphic appears the next time I start Firefox. If I restart Firefox, the tile is empty again. To see the custom graphic, I have to reload the page.

Additional observation: If I clear the cache in the settings, the custom image appears the next time Firefox is restarted. However, this only works once; the next time Firefox is restarted, the tile is empty again.

Hello! I have tried to reproduce the issue with firefox 143.0a1(2025-07-17) on Ubuntu 22.04 and Windows 10, unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce the issue.
Could you please answer the following questions in order to further investigate this issue

Hello, I tried it today with a brand-new profile. Unfortunately, the issue with custom images on the New Tab Page persists. I'm using Windows 11 23H2.
