Is that where the camera is?
I see that the system status bar also doesn't extend to that space and we don't control the status bar.

I see the same behavior in latest Chrome and in Fenix v123 - the app (or system bars) does not expand past the on screen camera so this does not look like a regression or bug but maybe as an improvement idea.
@Paul can you confirm?

By all means, if it doesn't qualify as a regression, I'm happy to have that removed and have it recategorised as an enhancement.

Capy Reader for example goes Edge-To-Edge

One issue for us as a browser is that interactable web content could be just under the camera and so in a 100vh page some interactions might not work. Can be done but I'm not sure if we should. It's a UX/product decision though.

Marking this as an enhancement idea and updating some dependencies.
Not sure why this blocks the Material3 meta but will keep it as such as a way to have it get more attention.

Found some recent documentation from Chrome about supporting the browser extending just past the gesture navigation bar which needed a new CSS API showing how complex supporting edge-to-edge while browsing might be.

Marking this as an enhancement idea as discussed above.
// Seems like I can't. May be a bug in Bugzilla.
