Steps to reproduce:
When I try to add an additional email account to Thunderbird (Version 140.1.1esr 64bit) the dialog fails with error and freezes. Steps:
- I open "New account->Email"
- the new Account Hub dialog starts and I enter the new email address I want to add
- dialog failes with error "Authentication failed. Please check the username and password" and freezes
but there is no possibility to enter username and password in this new dialog.
Actual results:

Expected results:
offer the possibility to enter username and password in this new dialog
or offer the possibility to switch to old add email dialog.
By chance I found that the upgrade from TB128esr to TB140esr automatically enabled the experimental feature "Account Hub" in the settings (see screenshot attachment "TB140_AccountHub.png"). Disabling this option manually brought back the old and working email account procedure.
- Thunderbird should not automatically enable experimental features
- there should be an option in the Thunderbird Enterprise Policy (https://github.com/thunderbird/policy-templates/tree/master) that allows to manage the "Account Hub" option in the settings

If not, we'd need to know what email you're trying to configure.
