User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 Using the front-end, I deleted all mail from my INBOX; front-end consequently shows I have no mail in my INBOX. However, the size of my INBOX on disk is 500k and I can open the file named INBOX with Notepad.exe and see all my mail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use front-end to select all, or each individually, INBOX mail msgs and delete. 2. Front-end show no msgs in INBOX - good. 3. Shutdown mozilla. 4. find INBOX on disk and observe its size & that it contains all the mail msgs. Expected Results: INBOX should be of size 0 when all msgs are deleted from it.
Right-click inbox - compact this folder. This is by design of the mailbox format used by Mozilla and other mail programs *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 183837 ***
