User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:141.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/141.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to a file on GitHub (like https://github.com/bminor/binutils-gdb/blob/master/COPYING)
  2. Use the sidebar to navigate to another file
  3. Notice that the correct file is now displayed and that the URL has changed accordingly
  4. Enable desktop mode
  5. Notice that the page (and URL) have reverted to the original file (from step 1)

Actual results:

It should only enable desktop mode.

Expected results:

It enabled desktop mode and acted as if the back button was activated.
