Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20030306 Camino/0.7
The links are offset to the left on this site. This page is the most obvious.
Checked in Mozilla and Camino -- bad render
IE and Safari -- render fine
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. View page
2. Note the links are offset to the left, overlapping the text the precedes them
3.

not sure i follow... the page looks a bit off depending on how large your font
settings are (my defaults seem bigger then the designer expected)... but the
amount of "off" is only with blocks pushing larger and not lining up - no link
or other type issues.
Behavior also looks the same for me in Camino0.7, Moz 2003032003/OS X and Safari
0.64
could you by chance attach a screen shot?

Is this a problem with mozilla trunk builds? (Your build id only lists the 1.0
branch Camino....). Is this mac-only? I don't see any overlap on the site on
Linux trunk build 2003-03-19-05....

bz - go to the linked page and bump your font size up and you'll see the block
misalignment I'm seeing - to clarify Comment 1 what I'm seeing (in both Mac
trunk & reporters build) isn't a bug, just what happens when elements grow. What
I'm not seeing in any build is the reported overlapping type.

It's pretty bad at this font size. Maybe it only shows up at small sizes.

No, that looks like a mac-specific font bug....

ok.. i'm not seeing this... my screen shot is Camino 0.7 on top, Moz 2003032003
Trunk on bottom... OS X 10.2.4
WorksForMe using FizzillaMach/2003032013. Lorin, what font is that text being
displayed in? Does the problem persist if you change the font?

OK, the problem is with the font "Myriad". Normally, Myriad renders properly
(i.e., used in a non-web context). I believe it is part of Acrobat's install.
In gecko, it renders oddly when used in html for links (it also selects oddly --
if you triple-click, the selection highlight doesn't match the actual
selection). I don't know where the actual defect lies -- something weird about
Myriad?
That said, IE DOES render it correctly, and non-gecko browsers handle it to
various degrees of success...
Summary: links offset to the left. Renders fine in IE and Safari → Links display poorly in text shown in Myriad font face

Lorin
Are you still seeing this problem with Myraid? If so does it persists with a
clean profile?

Yes, it's as bad as ever. Note, you must have the font Myriad installed. I
tested with a clean profile and using Mozilla 2003082703

This bug is a duplicate of Bug 118902. This one have screenshots.
A while ago it involved only Classic builds. But now all Mac OS X builds
(Mozilla and Firefox) can't properly display PostScript fonts.
