User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:142.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/142.0
Steps to reproduce:
I tried to add a mail account via clicking file -> accounts -> new mail account. Unfortunately the advanced options / server details button to manually enter e.g. the mail server has been removed in Thunderbird 142 (or another version before). I tried to add my university mail account, but after entering name and mail address (and clicking next button) the account management hangs. Apparently no automatic configuration could be found. It seems as if for ui simplification purposes the option to manually set the advanced options has been removed and been gatekeeped by a check if an automatic configuration is available.
System: Arch Linux x64
Thunderbird version: 142.0
Actual results:
Thunderbird hangs and there is no option to manually enter advanced options / server details.
Expected results:
There should have been a button to manually enter server details like mail server, port, ... as it has been before. Alternatively the UI should not hang after pressing next when trying to add a mail account.

You can disable using Account hub (in the settings), to use the old UI.
Probably you're seeing bug 1975860

Thanks for the tip to uncheck the account hub checkbox in the settings. With the old UI I was able to add the mail account.
