Enable weather feature in EU and other privacy-centric regions with an explicit opt-in flow that respects user expectations while encouraging adoption.
Wouldn't it make sense to use the same approach for "non-privacy-centric regions" as well (= everywhere) as privacy is always a good thing, especially for products made by Mozilla? And even if you don't argue with privacy, the opt-in as shown in the attached mockup of bug 1988918 seems to me to be a nice way to highlight the customizability of Firefox which could also be beneficial for users around the world.

Thank you for that suggestion!
We think that offering the weather information by default is better for our users, than having to take an action just to see weather. It is nice to have this option to share weather in cases where we can't do so automatically.
