Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:143.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/143.0

Steps to reproduce:

While running FF 143 on MacStudio M2 Max with new Tahoe OS i hit cmd space to search something in spotlight. Then FF immedietly not responds to anything. Need to kill the program by "Force quit". Tried to disable hardware acceleration in FF - nothing changed.

Actual results:

FF hangs - not responding. In activity monitor drains CPU a lot. Need to Force quit to kill the app.

Expected results:

Should not be hanging while hitting cmd space on macos tahoe :)

Forget to add - the issue is happening to both of mine macstudio with macOS 26 Tahoe.

This is (most likely) due to a cycle in your bookmarks. The best thing to do is to ensure that there are no cycles in your bookmark structure that would cause Spotlight to search menu items indefinitely. A possible workaround on our side is being tracked in bug 1631239.
