[Affected versions]:
- Firefox Beta 144.0b2 (Build ID: 20250917090643)
[Affected Platforms]:
- Windows 11 x64
- Ubuntu 24.04 x64
- macOS 15.3
[Prerequisites]:
- Have Firefox Beta 144 ja locale installed.
- Set the “Strict” option, uncheck both Fix major/minor site issues in the
about:preferencespage. - Set the following prefs with the next values:
->browser.search.region= JA
->privacy.trackingprotection.allow_list.hasUserInteractedWithETPSettings= false
->nimbus.debug= true - Be enrolled in the ETP Strict Message rollout (e.g copy and paste this link in the urlbar to force enroll in the rollout).
[Steps to reproduce]:
- Open the browser with the profile from prerequisites.
- Navigate to the Amazon.ca page.
- Observe the “ETP Strict Message” Infobar.
[Expected result]:
- The Infobar text is localized accordingly.
[Actual result]:
- The Infobar text is displayed in English.
[Notes]:
- This issue also affects the Arabic locale, and it might also be reproducible with other locales.
