Every time open an email now I'm blinded by the extremely bright white font that replaced my easy-on-the-eye gray.

This is not a duplicate of bug 1976738. I couldn't care less about the message compose window. I'm referring to the section of the TB window where one reads emails. I spend little time composing but I spend multiple hours a day reading plain-text emails. I now have to wear tinted glasses in order read these daily emails. The current white font is blinding.

I apologize for not being more specific with my description. I previously used a setting in Languages and Fonts to display my incoming plain-text emails with a black background and a gray font. I do not use HTML mail. Now with Dark Mode I'm getting a black background and a bright white font. I really need to have this setting returned.

(Probably side effect of bug 1956292. Not sure if intentional or not.)

Strangely, when open a NEW MESSAGE window the font is still using my old gray color settings even though the font color settings no longer exist in recent versions of TB.
