In a fresh debian VM, and a fresh install of Thunderbird 140.3.0, I cannot add a yahoo.com account, either with IMAP or POP.
Steps to reproduce:
- Go through the account setup using the normal account setup screen
- Add the name and whatever@yahoo.com address
- See that yahoo.com was discovered in ispdb so click Done.
- A pop up screen appears. But instead of containing the expected yahoo.com login screen, it just has the text "Edge: too many requests."

Yeah I see that.
Not sure there's anything wrong in Thunderbird. It seems yahoo has a server side issue OR limiting the requests from Thunderbird for whatever reason. Potentially caused by bug 1989083.
A pop up screen appears. But instead of containing the expected yahoo.com login screen, it just has the text "Edge: too many requests."
Tests:
- Access Edge browser settings and clear the cache and cookies. Attempt to create account.
If fails:
2. Use another browser eg: Firefox - set up as default browser. Attempt to create account.
Please post results for these tests.

Anje, I do not even have the Edge browser installed at all and I'm able to log in with Firefox.
Well when tried from a different network, I get the correct authentication pop up window for yahoo. So I'm going to chalk this up to some strange network issue related the public network i was on at the time.

Yeah this was unrelated to Edge-the-browser.
I don't see it anymore either (but general login at yahoo fails for me for some reason.)
