200172 - Wrong favicon in bookmarks

It seems that bookmarks without an favicon avaliable, sometimes gets a favicon
from another site...

It also seems to happen when the site without a favicon (and in the bookmark
toolbar) is loaded along with a site which HAS a favicon (in tabs)... the
bookmarked site will then get a wrong favicon form the other site loaded at the
same time...

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure a bookmark exists which has no favicon (on the site or in cache) (
use www.dreamcoder.dk as an example)
2. Go to the bookmarked site, and go a another site which has a favicon on it's
server at _the_same_time_ (tabs)
3. If you do this long enough, the favicons will get mixed and the bookmark
which has NO ICON, will get one... from the other site

Actual Results:  
The bookmark suddenly has a wrong favicon

Expected Results:  
The bookmark should not have a favicon, in any case

Can you reproduce it with a totally clean profile (I can't)?
It's probably a dupe of bug 184872 too. Could you check?

Here is a line from my bookmark file....

Clearly the ICON url and HREF url are not the same

This should not be able to happen in any case... yet it continues to do so....
even with a 100% new profile (not the old bookmark file) (this is from the old)

I've seen this recently, too (20030312).  The problem of favicons being attached
to the wrong site bookmark has been around for a while.

Yes, I did clear all ICON references in my bookmark file at one point (right
around 0.4 after a cleanup was made to favicon code).

20030312 and 0.4 is not very recent...

I think you misunderstood me.

I was just saying that this bug is not new, hence my reference to my current
build from Mar 12.

Noting that I cleared the ICON references after 0.4 was to allay the notion that
I brought corrupt bookmarks from that old build. (bug 174265)

and without transferring bookmark-file to the new profile?

Yes, I just reproduced it with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US;
rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030504 Mozilla Firebird/0.6

It seems that only sites which does not have a favicon associated with it, is
the one receiving a wrong favicon...

I reproduced it by simply middle-clicking on the Bookmark Toolbar a bunch of times
