This is happening to me also. I had a file:///home/my-home entry in my bookmarks, and used to access all my homedir files through it. Now, it is not expanded anymore, and became just an ordinary bookmark entry which opens the given url. I think it is missing an important mozilla functionality. Confirmed on Linux, so OS -> All. Someone, please, set it. I'm not empowered enough.
