I think this panel is still managed by the places team. n.karytianos, did this functionality previously work?

I found a way to get rid of them. These four are the shortcuts that Mozilla decided to pin by default in the default home screen.

  1. Set both New Windows and Tabs to Firefox Home

  2. Delete the four mentioned shortcuts

  3. Close, and re-open firefox

  4. Set these two back to blank pages, or whatever desired.

Problem solved.

Mozilla should not be adding to the user's shortcuts. Quite annoying and a bit of trivia to get rid of them.

Please ignore my other comment.

Yes it did work in the older version. It works again in 147.0. Please close this.
