2008048 - New Message - Drag and drop contact from 'Contacts Sidebar' to a To, Cc, Bcc fails because not auto highlighted.

Version 140.6.0esr

Process:

• Open +New Message/Write window
• Enable Contacts Sidebar
• Click on Bcc to get the Bcc line
• Select an address book
• Left click on any contact, hold down and drag over to Bcc and release mouse to drop contact. Please note - this does not highlight the contact in Contact Sidebar.

Actual Result:
Fails to drag and drop. Nothing happens.

Expected REsult:
Contact is inserted into selected field eg: To, Cc, Bcc

Additional Test:
Double click on contact (this auto selects/highlights contact in Contacts Sidebar)

Actual and Expected result
adds contact to the TO field

Process
Click on Bcc to open Bcc field
Drag contact from TO to Bcc

Actual and Expected result
contact moved to Bcc field.

Now try drag and drop from Contacts Sidebar

If you left click, hold down and do drag and drop - it does not highlight contact in Contacts Sidebar

Actual REsult:
instead the previously selected name used for double click is auto inserted again.

If you select contact first to highlight, then an additional left click, hold down and do drag and drop - it works ok.

But user does expect drag and drop to work without having to initially highlight the contact as a separate action.

Note:
In Beta 147.0b3 and Daily 148.0a1
Left click , hold down and drag auto highlights the contact so drag and drop works ok.

This is fixed since Thunderbird 143.
