:mbeier, since you are the author of the regressor, bug 2008429, could you take a look? Also, could you set the severity field?

Verified that the Results menu removes previously searched items using the latest Nightly 149.0a1, across platforms.
However, on macOS, the Shift + Delete shortcut does not remove the highlighted search history entry.
I also tried Shift + Fn + Delete, but it does not work either.
This appears to be either macOS-specific behavior or a regression, since the shortcut works on Windows/Linux. Moritz, do you have any other ideas for this specific case? Thank you!

The key labeled "Delete" on the builtin keyboard of MacBooks is what we consider backspace, but Fn + Delete should send the actual delete.
When I press Shift + Fn + Delete(Backspace) on the builtin keyboard, it successfully removes the history entry (on the latest Nightly).
On my external (non-Apple) keyboard, Shift + Fn + Backspace does not work because it has a dedicated Delete key which does successfully remove the history entry.
Which keyboard did you use?

I use the builtin keyboard on a MacBook Pro.
Shift + Delete works for address bar entries.
LE: I believe I had some Firefox build updates issues (caused by bug 2016721) on Friday when I wrote the previous comment.
The shortcut works now for search bar entries on latest Nightly. Sorry for the noise.
