Details

Thunderbird creates an empty "Thunderbird" folder in the home directory and when applying the patch from bug, it creates an empty "thunderbird" folder in the home directory.

That patch is not working for the 147 branch. Not sure if it is working on 149 I wasn't able to test. Any chance of a fix/backport to the 147 branch?

I'm not able to comment an the original bug since it is closed now and I don't have the required permissions.
