User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030414 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030414 Viewing a message with a really long email address in the header resizes the right-side pane (message/summary) so it can display most of the headers/email addresses, however it makes the vertical resize handle unusable. The position of the resize handle/dimensions of the panes return to normal when you switch to another message with a shorter email address. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on a message with a really long email address in the To/Cc/From header Actual Results: Message appears, most of the header appears (some of the email address was cut off at the right side), message pane increases in size to cover most of the left folder pane, vertical resize handle doesn't respond to dragging. Also, no horizontal scrollbar appears in the message even though a few characters of the long email address were cut off on the right side. Expected Results: Left the dimensions of the panes alone and displayed a horizontal scrollbar for the message. Viewing an IMAP account, and the email address displayed was in X.500 format from Microsoft Exchange.
"Vertical resize handle" might sound misleading; I'm talking about the resize handle between the left side and right side, i.e. it moves horizontally to resize the left side folder list.
I'm not 100% sure, but this sounds like a dupe of Bug 190820. Eric Brundick, do you agree with that assessment? I have not been able to duplicate the stated behavior of either bug; I'm wondering if they are skin-related.
