Steps to reproduce:
I reorganised my bookmarks on my computer (with Firefox Sync on).
Now, when I try to save a bookmark, an error appears.
Actual results:
The error message "Invalid URL"
Expected results:
Saving the bookmark

I think "bookmarks" is the correct component here - but regardless, this is almost certainly bug 2003434, fixed in 149

Also, I'm noticing on a different device that sunce 149, bookmarks always default to the root folder and never reuse the previous location.

Sorry, I need to correct myself. They don't default to the root, they just never update the saved previous location.

I'll reopen this for the Android team to look at, but as far as I know, this is the only report of that on 149.

I believe that the following bug 2024810 might be the cause of this. bug 2024810 caused a regression in the last saved folder pref to not get updated which if it was set to a folder that was later deleted, it would cause this issue.
Thus I will be closing this as a dupe of 2024810. I did test this locally and it was fixed by my fix to bug 2024810. If that one lands and you are still experiencing this issue, please feel free to open this ticket again.
