As described, there is no picture of the dino on the splash screen, just an
amber field with the word "Mozilla" in black. It can be a new feature, but I
liked the previous version, and I think programmers wouldn't want to degrade the
splash.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just start the program
2.
3.

Actual Results:
as described in details

Expected Results:
display the monster?

no themes, just default install

The splash screen changed because of legal problems. You can always put your own
splash-screen as "mozilla.bmp" in the Mozilla Directory and Mozilla will use
this splash.
