Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401 I just loaded up Mozilla 1.3, and it told me that 1.4a was out. So I downloaded and ran the installer. Everything seemed to go fine until after the reboot, when I got some 50 or so dialog boxes complaining that mozilla.exe couldn't find some dll (something like xpicom_compat.dll, usually) or symbol in a dll. So I ran the installer again, and that time it worked and Mozilla started up normally. But all of my bookmarks were gone. The only thing left in my Bookmarks menu is the "Imported IE Favorites" subfolder, which is empty. You might want to withdraw the Windows 1.4a installer until this bug is fixed, to avoid screwing other users. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Furthermore, the Personal Toolbar doesn't seem to work (even after I've created a new toolbar folder and marked it as such); the links don't show up on the toolbar, and dragging links to the toolbar has no effect.
looks like a symptom of bug 190816.
