I believe we should be more aggressive now in this approach after mitmproxy 12 lands in tree.
we have too many mixed versions and it's starting to become a maintenance burden
If something is too difficult/impossible to record for whatever reason, we should just drop it instead of keeping the old playback
This could potentially be rolled in with Bug 1973522 work, or immediately after (since ideally we re-record with mitmproxy 12 with the proxy mode turned off)
