Steps to reproduce:

I write text, e.g. with the wordpress classic editor, or on X and especially around line-breaks or when I already wrote a letter (character) and then use the Samsung virtual keyboard, I would write a word like... "guidelines" I start typing g and complete part of the word and it would write gguidelinlines

Actual results:

see above

Expected results:

the same as in 149, no issues. the word just gets replaced completely

I think this is similar to the issue described in bug 2023328, which may have been fixed by bug 2029505

Could you please confirm if you are able to reproduce this in nightly 152.0a1 or beta 151.0b2

2023328 is a different bug.

It's ... as if a "go to the beginning of the word" instruction was removed.

Let's say I want to write Monster.
I write Monstee, see I made a typo, I hit backspace on the virtual keyboard, autocorrect tries to replace the word, wants to go to the beginning of the word to overwrite it with Monster, because the word Monster was suggested, I'm uploading a screen recording to Youtube.
It only happens in Firefox.

I have installed "Firefox Nightly 152.0a1 (Build #2016150055)" and this issue is not present there.

Reporter, I believe that this is fixed by current Firefox Nightly. Could you verify this? (This will be fixed on beta, also, I am requesting to land that fix on release channel)
