[Notes]:

  • This issue is not reproducible if High Contrast Black or White is enabled.
  • This issue is also reproducible with Nova disabled.

[Affected versions]:

  • Firefox Nightly 152.0a1 (Build ID: 20260505214504)
  • Firefox Beta 151.0b6 (Build ID: 20260504090448)

[Affected Platforms]:

  • Windows 10 x64

[Prerequisites]:

  • Have the latest Firefox Nightly 152.0a1/Firefox Beta 151.0b6 en-US build installed/extracted and opened.
  • Have the “browser.search.region” pref set to US and “browser.nova.enabled” set to true in about:config.
  • Have the High Contrast #1 or #2 enabled.

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Restart the browser, open a new tab, and hover any story card.
  2. Observe the bottom-right corner of the card.

[Expected result]:

  • The Contextual menu button is visible.

[Actual result]:

  • The contextual menu button is not visible.

[Regression Window]:

  • The issue is not reproducible with older Nightly 151.0a1 builds. Considering this, I have used the mozregression tool to find the regression range. Here are the results:
    Last good revision: 3bd2590442cfc0b98b41eeb84930050fa422c1f9
    First bad revision: 42316e0385319d466385b847d04d911242a1e8cb
