Screenshot displaying bug behavior
I have confirmed this bug still exists in 1.4 RC3

Reporter,
did you try with a clean profile, too?

I tried it on:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030612
and get exacly the same bug

Clean Profile: I believe so. I checked for documentation on how to verify that I
had indeed got a clean profile but found none. Is there any?

OK, I tried with a new profile and it appears OK. I assume there's a bug
tracking whatever the problem is with existing profiles? If so, I'd appreciate
a link to that. Thanks.

My mistake. I was using the default profile from a recent download of mozilla
onto a new PC. On creating a new profile the bug disappears.

Identical issue with the latest build:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624
Default profile has the error. Newly created profile does not.

can confirm this (icon isn't displayed properly on Mozilla 1.4 all RCs and the
new final version on Win98, but works with fresh profile). But wouldn't it be a
good idea to find out what exactly caused this behavior, maybe then put it in
the release notes?

I've experienced this problem after upgrading to Mozilla 1.6 from Netscape 7.1,
using the same Netscape profile. However, I switched themes, restarted Mozilla
1.6, and the toolbar button images show up properly again.
Try switching to a different theme, then restart Mozilla, and, optionally,
switch back to the desired theme. Try creating a new profile. If this still
doesn't resolve the issue, please comment here.

Just noticed that bug 186086 deals with the exact same issue. Please add
comments to that bug.
