Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401
When you click an embedded url on a web page, while connected to your isp by
lan, the browser begins a dialup session instead of utilizing the dns ip
addresses set up under networking tcip protocol. This desktop has a modem but
normally connects through the dsl router.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Connect to ISP through your lan and DSL modem/router
2.Click on an embedded URL in a web page
3.Be sure you have an alternate dialup connection setup.
Actual Results:
Paused for 30+ seconds, the attempted to use dialup connection. Dial tone was
not available, so it gave an error.
Expected Results:
Should have found the DNS ip addesses setup under networking protocols tcip and
connected to that ip to resolve the selected url to an ip address.
This desktop is an NT4.0 SP6 Intel with 56k flex modem and realtek lancard.
