RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 2041077

People

(Reporter: jcservices, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:152.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/152.0

Steps to reproduce:

My [Clear Data For Specific Sites][Manage Cookies & Site Data] (MC&SD) was originally "empty" / "not-populated" - which was very strange. I then managed to go around it by navigating thru [Firefox -> Settings -> Data -> Choose What You Want Firefox To Remember -> Privacy And Security], then selecting [Clear Data For Specific Sites], which allowed for the [Manage Cookies & Site Data] to be finally "populated". Even after you "update" your "MC&SD", to then be able to "edit" it again, & make changes, you need to repeat the procedure I outlined above - by going through the "Privacy And Security" link on Firefox's Settings.

Actual results:

I was able to edit my [Clear Data For Specific Sites][Manage Cookies & Site Data] cookies, but I had to 1st find a way around, to properly populate it 1st w/ the current/updated cookies' data, to proceed.

Expected results:

I should have been able to directly navigate thru [Firefox -> Settings -> Data -> [Clear Data For Specific Sites][Manage Cookies & Site Data]] & edit my cookies, as I normally do.

Product: Thunderbird → Firefox
Version: Thunderbird 152 → unspecified
Component: Security → Settings UI

This seems like it's a duplicate of bug 2041077. The issue is that the site data isn't loading until the Privacy and security page is loaded so using the search bar leaves it unpopulated

It's fixed in 153 beta but we likely should have uplifted that bug to 152
