At the re-boot the registry failed and restored an old version of the registry
without Mozilla.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Installing Mozilla 1.4b
2. Re-booting the system
3.

Actual Results:  
A blu screen reported that the registry failed and with "Enter" it reloaded an
old version of registry.

was this a clean install? 
If not, did you try to install it over a 1.3 build of Mozilla?

When errors like this occur make sure that you read the Mozilla installation notes:
- uninstall Mozilla prior to installation
- [in case you installed any Moz add-ons/Themes] manually clear out the Mozilla
folder [except for the plug-in folder perhaps]

Since you talk about old version of the registry i assume you didn't do that,
therefore marking it as a dupe of

Received e-mail from reporter : after clean install the problem is fixed.
