Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:152.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/152.0

Steps to reproduce:

I'm working in 6.12.95-1-MANJARO using Sway and a window manager. When I'm on Thunderbird and I press reply to a received email, I obtain a new window that splits my screen. I then proceed to write my message as text in the text field of the Message Compose Window.

Actual results:

As the text is added it eventually reaches the right border of my window (and screen). When this happens the text overflows the window and I stop seeing it. Additionally for example the "insert a smiley face" button is hidden too.

Expected results:

The New Compose Window should have readjusted itself to fit the window space available. This behavior happens correctly in Firefox 152.0.6 when a new window is opened.

Screenshot?
But I assume this is just that the compose window has a minimum width, exactly so that the toolbar (with insert a smiley etc.) buttons and other functionality would not be hidden...
