User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:153.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/153.0

Steps to reproduce:

All the notifications settings are on, Do Not Disturb is off, but new mail notifications don't show up in Notification Center. Moreover, I have to manually click on every folder to see if there is a new letter.

Other system notifications work fine. Same thing continues in Troubleshoot mode and after a reinstall.

Interestingly, bug 2057927 states the opposite

Component: Folder and Message Lists → Mail Window Front End
See Also: → 2057927

Can anyone reproduce this or bug 2057927?

Hello!
I have tried to reproduce both issues on Win 11 and Ubuntu 24 .
I have update TB from 152.01(20260630165458) to 153.0.1(2060728090639)and was not able to reproduce it.

For the first report, I checked the notification settings, confirmed that Do Not Disturb was off, and tested receiving new emails. New mail notifications appeared normally in the Notification Center, and I did not need to manually open each folder to see new messages.

For the second report, I tested after updating Thunderbird and checked both new mail notifications and calendar reminder notifications.
The existing notification settings remained unchanged after the update, and I did not see Thunderbird automatically enable new mail or calendar notifications.
I also checked the calendar reminder settings, including the system notification option and the reminder/default notification settings. I did not observe any unexpected notifications being enabled or displayed.
