When the sidebar is set to expand and collapse on hover, there is a very noticeable and ugly snap from a square corner to a round corner as the animation finishes.
There is also a missing right border on the sidebar during the animation. All this is presumably because an actually-wide sidebar is just being masked on the right, then snapping to a narrow layout at the end, but at the very least I would say the mask itself should have rounded corners.
