Steps to reproduce:

The printer feeds an A4 sheet and finishes the job, but the physical page comes out completely blank.

Additional context & troubleshooting done:

  • Confirmed this is a regression: printing works normally on version 153.0.3, but fails on version 154.0.
  • Tested on multiple independent PCs running Thunderbird v154.0.
  • Tested on different physical units of the Brother MFC-L6902DW printer.
  • Reinstalled the printer drivers.
  • Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird v154.0.
  • Deleted the entire %APPDATA%\Thunderbird folder to test with a completely fresh profile.
  • Printing from any other application (browsers, PDF readers, Office) to the same printer works fine.

Actual results:

The printer feeds an A4 sheet and finishes the job, but the physical page comes out completely blank.

Expected results:

The email content and text should print correctly onto the physical page.

The bug was fixed for 155, but not backported to 154 (too late for that).
