What doesn't work? This command gives you the last visited URL. This works fine here with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 2000) Gecko/20030519 Mozilla Firebird/0.6. Please download a current nightly and test it again with a fresh profile.
=> no "major" bug => invalid because no "actual results" and "expected results" given in bug report Alan, please perform the hints given by Simon and if problem still persists using latest nightly together with a fresh profile, please feel free to reopen bug by providing some useful steps how one can reproduce your problem - including "actual results" and "expected results".

well i've downloaded the nightly build and performed the test requested by simon, but the problem persist; instead there is no problem with mozilla. I've noticed that problem, with the webinterface of our mail server Suse Linux Open Exchange: the button that generates the error executes that operation: javascript:location.href='/servlet/intranet?sessionID=0ec095c6302b2e7d33a216c337aea9bb&NAS_ID=0ec095c6302b2e7d33a216c337aea9bb&upd_vkn=1557&SITE=contacts/contact_new'; Here it is, what can i provide more? Waiting for suggestions Bye Alan

Alan, we need to know what you're doing! How do you suppose me to reproduce your problem without even knowing, which sites you visit when your problem occurs? By your last comment I understand, that it seems to have something to do with a webmail page - which page? Can we also get there? URI? Did you encounter this problem on other sites also? If yes, please provide URI! And of course the STEPS you are performing until this error occurs. As you can see by comment #1 Simon tried the javascript in the Address bar because we didn't know what to do with the Javascript you mentioned in the bug report. Hope this helps to understand, what we necessarily need as "input" from your side ;)
Also a good source of information is you JavaScript console which you can access via 'Tools' -> Java Script Console - are there any errors listed you can provide?

unzip the file you will find 3 files test1.htm test2.htm and item_new.png open the test1.htm and click on the button. Instead of appearing "Success !!" as should be appears test.html by Alan
Great job, Alan! Many thanks for providing this test-case. Now as I see what's going on I suppose this to be a dupe of bug #205989 (see also bug #206474 and bug #206072 where also the URI has been written into a blank page after JS executaion)
Alan, please try the latest MozillaFirebird build from 2003-05-21. Just re-tested your testcase and the problem seems to be fixed with bug #205989 - hence duping this one. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 205989 ***

Well i've downloaded the file: MozillaFirebird-win32.zip 21-May-2003 16:44 6.7M stored on http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firebird/nightly/latest-trunk/ but the problem persist. I've made a new profile and opened test1.html

Sorry, the fix has been checked in into CVS at 14:37 - so obviously it didn't made it into yesterday's nightly as the sources get extracted some time before the nightly build process actually gets started! So give it a try with today's nightly!
