Preconditions

  • have the browser.nova.enabled pref set to true
  • have the OS scale set to 125%

Steps to reproduce

  1. Access the Create New Profile or Edit Profile section
  2. Hover the cursor over the available themes

Expected result

  • The theme options should be static and gain a specific hover highlight when the mouse pointer is positioned on top of them.

Actual result

  • The theme options are snapping into different positions as soon as the mouse cursor is pointed at any available theme option.

Additional notes

  • The issue only occurs when Nova is enabled
  • The issue does not occur if having the OS scale lower than 125%
  • For Ubuntu, the theme options are slightly shifting up and down when pointing the cursor on any of the available theme options

Verified-Fixed on Nightly 158.0a1 (2026-09-10) using a Windows 11 and Ubuntu 26 OS - the theme options are no longer snapping into different positions when having the OS scale set to 125% or higher.
