The URL has the following sloppy HTML:
<link REL="STYLESHEET" HREF="file:///A|/newhtml/styles1.css" TYPE="text/css">
Once you click on the link that contains this HTML, Windows nags with a popup
saying that there is no floppy in the A: drive, abort retry ignore. Every
choice repeats the dialog. I'm not about to put in a floppy, I'm thinking I've
hit a malicous web site and I'm lucky it's hit a problem while trying to scan
all my drives.
Mozilla should handle the abort or ignore choices. At least the abort, which is
what I kept hitting until I viewed the site through another mechanism.
I'm marking this major just because you're hung until you put in a floppy, and
I've been in situations where there were no floppies available.

reopening - annoying dialog in download manager is one thing. Remote sites
pointing to removable drives shouldn't bring up a dialog at all, even if it's
possible to cancel it.

opening this page will, in many cases, either cause floppy/CD drives to spin
and/or cause Windows to pop-up a dialog asking the user to insert a disk into
the drive.

given previous arguments, I'll leave this as a separate bug, but we do already
have a bug about <img>, so I'll undo my expansion of the summary here.
Summary: <link> or <img> refering to floppy/removable drive causes dialog/drive spinning/hang → <link> refering to floppy/removable drive causes dialog/drive spinning/hang
Now bug 69070 is fixed. From remote documents are links to local img and css not
allowed. I get now with Mozilla 1.8a5 or Firefox 1.0
from the testcase
Security Error: Content at
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=151134&action=view may not load
or link to file:///A:/dummyfile.gif.
etc.
from the URL (css links points to D: and img to A:)
Security Error: Content at http://www.filmsnobs.com/www/jimmyo/reloaded.htm may
not load or link to file:///D|/newhtml/styles1.css.
etc.
So I resolve this bug as dupe of bug 69070. Feel free to reopen if you disagree.
