confirming Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030524 BUT: not always! Empty folders don´t show the +, only folders which contain files but not folders show the + and are not expandable in this menue, they are expandable in the Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks menue.
Confirming same as comment #1 2003052604 winXP
still, nothing happens unless the folder contains sub-folders and that is not intuitive
Sounds like the reporter wants to have the (+) to not be displayed when a folder contains only files (not folders).

Ever confirmed: true
yes indeed, it seems to be not useful to show a plus if clicking on it doesn't expand any folder tree where the bookmark could be put into one of the subfolders

WFM here, no extra expand marks if bookmarks folder doesn't contain subfolders User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 Firefox/18.0 SeaMonkey/2.15a1 Build identifier: 20120921003032
