There's a whole lot of dead and almost dead code in nsMessenger.cpp.
Going to clean up.

Part of that cleanup could be done as in WIP patch D309254 for Bug 1140323, maybe that's a viable approach.

Oh I had slightly forgot about that. This bug is not exactly that, but I think it should be fairly straight forward to build that on top of this.
