Steps to Reproduce:
- Open Firefox Nightly and navigate to Account settings.
- Swipe until focus lands on Sync now ("Sync now, Last synced: X minutes ago").
- Double-tap to activate the button.
- Listen to the TalkBack speech output during and after the sync operation.
Actual Result:
TalkBack reads "Syncing..." when the action starts. When the sync completes and the button text updates back to "Sync now, Last synced: 0 minutes ago", TalkBack remains completely silent. No completion or status message is announced to the user.
Expected Result:
TalkBack provides an accessibility status announcement when synchronization completes (e.g., announcing "Sync complete" or utilizing an accessibility live region / announceForAccessibility("Sync finished")) so users know the operation was successful without having to move focus.
Device information
- Firefox version: Firefox Nightly 160.0a1 from 15.10.2026
- Android device model: Samsung S23 Ultra ( Android 14), Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 (Android 12), Google Pixel 3 XL (Android 9)
