Details
(Keywords: intl)
When composing a message and putting in characters which (perhaps inadvertantly)
do not match the character set chosen, Mozilla provides a warning when you try
to send or save the message:
The message you composed contains characters not found in the selected
Character Coding...
While this warning does tell you that going back to the compose window will
allow you to change the coding, it doesn't say how. (Also, there seemse to be a
glitch associated with this, see bug 106301.)
I think a good solution would be to change the charset warning to automatically
offer an option to change the coding to something that will work, most likely
UTF-8 -- which, ideally, would display the message in the new coding before
continuing, and would offer an undo to reset it back.
(I'm giving this the intl keyword, but component Compose; maybe it should be
component Internationalization?)
