I encouter the same Behaviour as in Bug 207636 when searching the Bookmarks
through Mozillas Bookmarks-tab in the sidebar.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open Mozilla
2. type "C++" in sidebar
3. crash occurs

The Crash was caused by typing "asd" in the search-field of the
bookmarks-sidebar.

If only two characters are types (e.g. "as") mozilla hangs instead of crashing,
as I observed today.

I deleted entire bookmarks file and still got the unexpected quit with only 3
new bookmarks.  so it's not a corrupted bookmarks file!

I have experienced this crash often. In fact, one only has to type a single
letter into the search box to effect the crash. This bug is present in both
Firefox 0.9.3 and Mozilla 1.8a3 running on the most up to date version of
panther (including XCode 1.5).

This bug was fixed in Mozilla release 1.7.3, but it is now back in Mozilla 1.8
alpha. I am presently using nightly build 2004092805, and the bug is back.

This bug is also fixed in Firefox PR1.0.

Mattias, I suspect that this report is actaully Dup of the bug you mentioned
in comment 0 , and although hard to evince, is probably still in.
