User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 Build Identifier: Mozilla 1.4 RC2 Error message is: The procedure entry point ?MakeUnique@nsFileSpec@@QAEXXZ can not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Mozilla 1.4 RC2 2. Start Mozilla 3. Actual Results: The error message comes up. Windows XP says that mozilla.exe had a problem and crashed (and asks about sending a report to Microsoft). Expected Results: Started properly. I tried renaming the old Mozilla directory (to simulate no previous installation) after uninstalling 1.4. Same result.
Install Mozilla into a new empty directory. Duplicate of bug 195600
I'm seeing this with latest nightly build #2003062307. The exact error message is: The procedure entry point ??0NS_ConvertUCS2toUTF8@@QAE@ABVnsAString@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll. *** Please fix as this is blocking testing... ***
Severity: blocker → critical
This is happening with build 2003062608 too.
Also occurs in nightly build #2003062704. I guess Mozilla likes wearing these bugs on their sleeve. It shows up every time upon start up. It's annoying and gives a very poor impression of the software.
