Double-clicking the attachment name in a received email will open the "Opening
filename" dialog. In my tests, this has been either a .DOC or .PDF file (I have
both Word and Acrobat installed on my computer).
The dialog title ends up saying "Opening Test.doc.jpg". The default option
selected is always "Open it with C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cmd.exe". If I click on
"Open it with the default application (Word)", I get a browser window with the
following message:
"The image "file:///C:/DOCUME~1/HOWARD~1/LOCALS~1/TEMP/Test.doc.jpg cannot be
displayed because it contains errors."
If from the "Opening file" dialog, I click 'Save it to disk', then the "Save As"
dialog has "Test.doc.jpg" as the filename.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Expected Results:
Should default to first option if the application is known.
Should not append ".jpg" to the end of the file name.

Reporter, look at your helper applications for application\octet-stream. Delete
