User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425 Build Identifier: Mozilla V1.4rc3 on Windows 2000 prof. When I do "Save Image As..." I can pick up a directory and filename, but afterwards, nothing is saved. This happens to all types of files, and also if I use "View Image" and then do "File -> Save As..." of "File -> Save Page..." Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use a page containing images 2. Right-Click on an image, do "Save Image As..." 3. Look for the saved file on local disk Actual Results: No file was saved. Expected Results: Saved the file.
Reporter: Please try this : close Mozilla, run "mozilla -profilemanager" and create an additional test profile. Does it work with this test Profile ? if not : Uninstall Mozilloa, delete the whole Mozilla apllication folder manully and reinstall Mozilla
via mail : doesn't work with a new profile or a clean installation. (wfm with win2k build 20030701.. )
Seems to be fixed in build Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030709

I had the same problem in 1.4rc3, deleted compreg.dat as suggested by mversen in bug 213698 and it worked again. However, I'm not sure whether this bug is really fixed (installing 1.5a might have deleted compreg.dat and therefore hides the bug for reporter in comment #3). This seems rather related to bug 180672 which has a long list of bugs it blocks, but is in itself yet unconfirmed.
fixed is wrong because i can't see a patch

it would be bug 203689 but you would get a error message in that case. The compreg.dat will be regenerated if you upgrade your build with the installer. -> wfm
