User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 This bug is still on Mozilla. 1.4 final. I use Win2000 and at fist I could download, just clickin' the link.. Now even "Save link as" doesn't work.. I tried clear my cache, and everything, but no help... Next I going to download version 1.5 alpha, but if I'm right it doesn't fix that bug.. Oh well we'll see Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on mouse "Save as" 2.It opens a file list where to save 3.I click ok Actual Results: Nothing happend.. It can't save anything. Expected Results: Start saving a file.. e.g. "mozilla-win32-1.5a-installer-sea.exe"
a) Be sure that you installed in an emtzpy directory b) and try a new profile (run "mozilla -profilemanager" and create an additional test profile)
Same problem here. Not sure what triggers it; it appears to happen randomly, but after that point, I can't download any kind of file, whether by shift-clicking or right-clicking. Reinstalling fixes the problem, but it seems to be happening more often lately. Just downloaded 1.5a to see if I can get rid of the problem altogether with it.
Depends on: 180672
Using Windows 2000 and Mozilla 1.4 with the Mozilla Amazon Browser (MAB) project installed. I've witnessed the same problem. Everything had been working fine for many weeks, and then one day downloading became impossible. Going to Tools -> Download Manager did not load the download manager. No downloads could be done regardless of whether the Downloads Preference was set to use the Download Manger or not. Context-clicking and choosing Save Image As or Save Link Target As did not work. In all cases, Mozilla would open the Save As dialog box and allow you to choose the location of the file, but nothing more happened after you clicked OK--nothing downloaded. All of these things did not help: -Cleared the cache -Deleted downloads.rdf as suggested by comment #1 from bug 210526 -Created a new profile using mozilla -profilemanager as suggested by comment #1 of this bug, but Mozilla could not load at all using the new profiles--it just crashed silently to the desktop Finally, uninstalled Mozilla, deleted all Mozilla-related directories, and reinstalled Mozilla from the Web site. Everything works fine now.
Please close mozilla and delete mozilla\components\compreg.dat
Had exactly the same problem, deleting compreg.dat solved the problem for me (at least for the time being) BTW, I'm running v1.4 on WinXP SP1
Reporter: Did deleting compreg.dat solve the problem?
marking wfm (no repsonse) see bug 203689 if you get a error message
